na its not ready to film for 4k, probably cost u round 7 to get up and runnin but compared to other cameras at 7 grand, this one blows them away.

Well over here theyre 3.5k, and then your looking at 800 for a p2 card, and thats GBP, where as an FX1000 goes for about 2.4k and tapes are dirt cheap. Its up to yourself man, but thats a whole lot extra and to be entirely honest I'd rather just get the FX1000 and spend the rest on my bike.

The solid state HVX series? Beautiful camera's I'm told, But conciderably more expensive, and the P2 cards cost as much as a Handycam on their own! I was looking at an FX7 myself as I have limited income, but I'm planning on a Film course at Uni in a year - that said, after seeing your work I might just opt for an SR12 and use the remainder on decent tripods and steadycam setups, and maybe a detatchable external mic so I can pick up sound anywhere in the shot...
